Not likely to be a starter problem. Once the engine is started,
the starter is disengaged from the flywheel and stops running.
What you describe may be wheel bearing noise, differential noise
or gear noise from the transmission. Does the noise increase/descrease
in pitch with the speed? What about when you change gears? Is it
worse/better when you go around a curve?
