had to go to a inner city hotel this morning. i'm not much of an spotter at
the best of times, but i couldn't help noticing 6 a6 v8q (very popular in
auckand), a new range rover (nice), and a nice dusty and hard driven w8
passat (like the tail lights, and the shut lines are stunning). then on the
way home, sitting minding it's own business by the side of the road, was a
cherry red gt coupe quattro. immaculate. superb.
had a drive of the mini cooper today. lovely gearbox, sharp handling,
moderate build quality, interior (and exterior) strictly to taste. lots of
room, comparable in the front to our a3, with less in the back. major
let-down was the motor, slow to rev, and torpid.
