Hydraulic pump, Type 44 - questions

They lowered the working pressure on later pumps.  Extra pressure may
mean premature failure of hydraulic components, but I've never seen any
actual BTDT.  I would conjecture that based on the age/mileage of the
older pump, it's pressure is probably down to, or under the maximum
pressures for the "updated" pump.  I wouldn't worry about it unless you
start getting abnormal failure rates...but then again, two or three
hydraulic system component failures a year seem to be the norm and the
price of admission to the type 44 club.
