Personally, I haven't found any in that area.
I usually go up to Harriman, NY (Woodbury Commons) area if I
need something I can't do myself, Haupt-Strasse Motors.
Not inexpensive, but usually right on the money.
Porsche/Audi/VW trained, knows the cars, including
vintage models, a Porsche/Audi enthusiast (has vintage
Porsche racers and an VSCCA and Porsche Club
member, and is currently restoring an UrQ for himself).
A weaker alternative (but happens to be convienient for
me) is Continental Auto Repair in Nanuet, NY
Only the lead mechanic is known to be VAG trained, and
sometimes they don't get it right, although they will make
good on things. Again, not inexpensive. I tend to try to
diagnose in advance heavily before resorting to them, as
I don't feel like throwing $$$ at botched diagnoses. Not bad
guys, but not 100%.
