Yes - similar results, if not worse.  I installed ELGIN 270 comparable to
most 272 grinds.  Definately dynamically interfering, but AFAIK, the engine
may have already been.  Still I am able to retard or advance the cam at
least 12 deg. without a problem - that is over a tooth off on the belt.

BTW, I have found that too much overlap can really mess with emissions, so
don't overcam unless you want this side-effect.

Dam, does that include putting a schrick 272 in an NG, does that make
static interference.... may as well remove my head now lol...

If you install a higher lift/higher duration cam such as a 264i/254e
with around a .440 lift  you will turn the MC engine into a static
interference engine.
