And the condition of my A4 is now in doubt (I may have killed the engine; I'll know more tomorrow). I shouldn't have taunted the Audi gods. While I admire the urV8, the A8 seems a much better choice as it is newer, etc. Although I would be temped by the V8 in CT that was all re-done and for sale not long ago (and may be still), that A6 4.2 has me thinking. I like the smaller size of the A6, but A8s can be had for short money. I'd be stretching to buy an S8, and I really don't need all that extra "stuff". The more I look at the newer cars, the more bewildered I become: regular A6, upscale A8, A6 2.7TT, A6 4.2, what's a fella to do? And if I was practical, I'd be looking at a FWD V6 Passat; that's all I really need. -- Kent McLean '99 A4 Avant, V6 Tiptronic '91 200 TQA #3, gray, UFOs, chipped, Euro headlights '91 200 TQA #2 blue, up in smoke 2 '91 200 TQA #1 black, recycled '94 100 S Avant, "Moody", sold '89 200 TQ, "Bad Puppy", up in smoke
