What is it about a T44 Avant that precludes fun?  I've had a bunch in the
old 5kCSQA ... albeit many years ago ... but perhaps my favorite story is
when a coworker asked me to come along for a test drive in a 200Q Avant
(ISTR it was 10V) he was looking to buy.  I looked the car over and found it
to be in reasonable shape ... it was for sale at a local Audi dealer.  When
we took it for a test drive he asked me to drive it as I would be able to
know if anything felt funny.  A short drive about showed the car was
probably in good shape, so I decided to take one of my favorite cloverleaves
where there was no traffic merging ... and I decided to toss it around the
turn ... mind you I had my friend and a salesman from the dealer in the car.
They were a bit on edge, although I think the dealer guy knew a bit about
what was possible, and I had a big smile on my face.  My friend ended up
buying a Saab ... his loss!

What the hell has become of us?  A station wagon for fun??  Those  trips to
