Brake Pad Wear Warning Light

1986 Type 44 Turbo Quattro: Levels of hydraulic fluid and brake fluid are OK
but red triangle with brake pad symbol sometimes beeps and blinks. I think
it is a sensor wire issue, the cables from the front brake pads were cut
since the sensor wire ends had decayed.

Check your hydraulic fluid level and your brake fluid level.
