'94 100 stays in 3rd

More info...

He found two loose black wires that go into a connector that
goes to the TCU.  The TCU-side connector has a brown/red wire
where the black wires go.

I know the Audi standard is brown wire is ground. But does Audi use
black wire for ground, too?  I'm thinking so, since it goes to a
brown (and red) wire.

Does anyone know what the black to brown/red wires do?
(Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a '94 100 S?)
