I've built 10 of them and know of at least 100 more! Really a blast. You of all people know how great the engine is, just immagine it in a 2900lb car with 51/49 weight distribution. Personally I would love to have the LT grunt with AWD... the LT 944's just can't get traction at less than highway speeds. I have been slowly building a 5ktq race car and would love for this 944 trickery to get the engine rule repealed so I could go LT powered on the 5000. I WAS planning on that a few years ago when I first started stripping the car, but then after we took the first championship with the LT 944 they brought in that rule banning inter-make engine swaps. Now that I've heard talk that some leaders aren't happy with the rule and want it gone I think putting an Audi engine in a 944 would be a perfect way to 'break the camel's back' and get my own LT1-Q back on track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur5Wz_Y38CI -Cody Forbes Peter Golledge wrote: > What kind of a crazy person would drive an LT-1 powered German car. > > Many in P-Car crowd grimace when we run the LT-1Q at driving events. > I can imagine the reaction to a 944 powered by a bit of 'merican cast > iron. ;-) > > -----Original Message----- > From: quattro-bounces at audifans.com > [mailto:quattro-bounces at audifans.com] On Behalf Of John Cody Forbes > Sent: Monday, March 16, 2009 10:15 PM > To: cobram at juno.com > Cc: quattro at audifans.com > Subject: Re: The most on-topic off topic ever > > Actually yeah, it does have the N in the right (11th) spot, good > call!
