camshaft oil seal

Looked a little seepy, so I boldly extracted the camshaft oil seal on my 
200q20vA, thinking I could install the new one using the highly 
overpriced plastic tool that works for installing crankshaft seals. 

Doesn't work so well.  Camshaft pulley bolt is too short to reach the 
threads to pull the seal on using the tool.

If I get a longer camshaft pulley bolt, will the crankshaft tool work 
for installing the camshaft seal?  If not, can I just try a flat piece 
of metal with a hole drilled in it for the camshaft pulley bolt?  I know 
I only want the seal to be flush, not in far enough to plug the oil hole.
