DVD-ROM manualsPeter Golledge petergolledge at gmail.comSun Sep 6 19:08:19 PDT 2009
Tihol, The disk installs both a reader and the content, contents needs a license key that needs to be verified, easiest if you are online during the enabling of content but there is a manual process. Internet is for updates once the content install is verified. You do have to remember to "de-license" the content if you are going to move the content to a new machine. The manuals are mediocre in my opinion but they provide sufficient detail if you've dealt with the vagaries of German auto documentation. :-) -----Original Message----- From: quattro-bounces at audifans.com [mailto:quattro-bounces at audifans.com] On Behalf Of Tihol Tiholov Sent: Sunday, September 06, 2009 6:35 PM To: quattro at audifans.com Subject: DVD-ROM manuals Greetings all, I'd appreciate some details and people's opinions/satisfaction re: using the electronic manuals from Bentley. 1. Can one play the DVD-ROM on any windows computer like a regular disc or is an internet connection required every time the DVD-ROM is used? 2. Is the purpose of the internet connection mentioned just for content updates or to verify the software ownership or ... ? Any other thoughts about this welcome. Thanks, -- Tihol _______________________________________________ quattro mailing list http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/quattro http://www.audifans.com/kb/List_information
