[s-cars] Loan of Strut Tools? Or workaround?

Hi Rob;

Workaround for #1 : use a pipe wrench through the spring coil to remove the
threaded cap.

Workaround for #2: cut up a deep well socket. A Dremel with a cutting wheel
does a good job.

Subject: [s-cars] Loan of Strut Tools? Or workaround?

[ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ]
I have bought the Bilsteins, the Eibachs, and sundry parts to attack the

However, it looks like 2 VAG tools are needed at least:

   * tool to remove the threaded cap at top of shock body (VAG 2069),
   * tool to remove the nut at the top of the strut(VAG 3078, looks like
     cut up deep well socket).

Any kind soul out there willing to loan these tools? Will pay shipping
to and fro and more to defer some of your costs...maybe some parts off
my totaled '92?

Wait'n to be lowered in smoky San Diego,
