I replaced my X plug and ring over 2 years ago using no fluid or
grease on the O ring and it hasn't leaked a drop of oil or shown signs
of any moisture whatsoever. Dry as a bone.
(Of course now that I have tempted the Audi gods I am sure the plug
will let go on the way home from work)
