Before my OEM HIDs I had the euro H1/H1/H3 set up and it was plug and play with the US wiring harness.? I recall adding city lights and tying them into the side marker lights - nothing difficult. It's been several years since I went to OEM HIDs but again I do not recall anything problematic.? For the HIDs you need a direct power line (fuse it) which I took from the battery feed located under the hood.? Again the US harness plugged right in and I again added in city lights in the same manner.? Of course, the US doesn't require DRLs and I don't have them so maybe someone from Canada (Sean) can chime in.

Hello Mark,

? I have a 1995 S6 US car and the headlights I got are European (ecode) but had a HID xenon upgrade kit placed into the low beam section. These units have DRL's in them

I have just got a hold of European headlights for my 1995 S6 and was told

that even though the wire connector fits, the wire arrangement needs to be

changed. Does anyone happen to have a write up or advice on these changes, I

would really appreciate it. The low beams already have HID installed and

another thing mentioned is that I need to unhooked the daytime running light

because it can cause problems with the HID light because it requires a full
