so am i, and for street use, i think this setup is plenty.  no problems stopping 100-0 mph on a fairly steep downhill grade.  the stock brakes faded noticeably under those conditions, with slotted rotors and ATE pads.  it was pad fade, not boiling fluid fade (which would produce a soft pedal).

I'm running BIRA.ORG system 3 under my stock 16 inch wheels (RS2ed 
urS6).  Clearance is tight but they don't interfere with 
anything.  From the BIRA site: Uses the Porsche 996 Carrera 4-piston 
monobloc caliper over the European A8 314x30mm rotor.
