[urq] alternator belt questions...

Hey guys, I have an 83 quattro coupe and cannot get the alternator belt to last, I think the width is too narrow and after awhile it just burns itself up, plenty of tension every time the belt just smoked itself.

I am  running this belt - 035-903-137b  -    9.5 x 8.00la

alternator has this part number 0120 469 514 090
