[urq] Hydraulic Pump attachmentJack Walker jack at walkerperformancegroup.comSun Nov 18 14:33:18 PST 2007
Using the 83 UrQ hyd pump, what have others done for attachment/alignment to the pulleys to the block on the 93 AAN motor? There’s no way I’m getting the older hyd pump into the AAN bracket, might work if I reworked the bracket to have a wider bracket hole spacing, and machined out the hole on the face of the bracket. There doesn’t seem to be a way to get the older brackets to attach to the newer block of the AAN, without an intermediate bracket similar to what was used on the original motor. Could use the newer hydraulic pump and bracket from the AAN, but I’d wager the newer pump would most definitely blow out the seals on the older style rack. Has anyone done a switch to the 034 steering rack? The result is a rack and steering response that feel more like an EVO than an Audi, with fast, precise response. A must for any sport related driving. An OE ZF rack is rebuilt and modified to perform "like new" with the shorter ratio response. Jack Walker Walker Performance Group 6327 SW Hiawatha Ct.
