I've heard from other urq owners that M&M Audi Haus in Campbell has
experience working on them.  I have not BTDT with them.  If your friend
is up the peninsula this might be the closest shop.  

Right now my car is at Brasil Auto Repair in San Jose.  John Brasil is
very familiar with urqs ... he's got his sitting in the shop waiting for
him to get time to install a 20vT engine.  He'll be installing an MC-2
in my car soon.  

All that said, there are a lot of urq owners in the SF Bay Area, many of
whom have experience with troubleshooting this sort of problem.  If your
friend is up to DIY'ing the issue with the help of others, have them
join the urq list.  Tell them that they can feel free to contact me at
this address if they'd like.  Perhaps they could even join the Saturday
breakfast group (I don't know the official name) ... as I did for the
first time this past Saturday.
