[urq] MC-2 Conversion - Flywheel questionurq urq at pacbell.netSat Oct 13 13:38:42 PDT 2007
Well, my car has an MC engine under the hood, and I figured out how to get the MC fuel metering plate to fit the WX airbox. I just took the urq lines from the original fuel distributor and bolted them to the MC one. Most of the fuel lines come from the MC, but one of the lines from the control pressure regulator needed to come from the WX. I will try to see if I can't make the MC parts fit when I get the car back, but for now it will work. The problem is that in the WX the fuel distributor mounts toward the firewall, and in the MC it mounts toward the front of the car ... so stuff that nestles under the quarter panel on the 200 interferes with the intake manifold on the urq ... Interesting note on the flywheel. John showed me that if you offset the WX flywheel by one mounting bolt hole the pin lines up with the MC flex plate pin. It seems like all we need to do is to make a new TDC mark on the flywheel and we're good to go. Does anyone know if we're missing something?
