[urq] [s-cars] Too much Crankcase ventalation?QSHIPQ at aol.com QSHIPQ at aol.comWed Sep 5 12:22:02 EDT 2007
Ben you need to restrict the vacuum port present and or increase the vent present. Since you are roughly 30% more vacuum than a stock urq, try a restrictor 30% smaller in diameter. I like the dowel idea to get the diameter right, then make the right size one out of brass. You don't have a PCV problem yet, you have a PCV with too high a vacuum feed port. I was contemplating a catch reservoir with draincock at bottom - two fittings at top - one to vent out crankcase and valve cover and the other to small filter and/or slight draw from Intake using one way valve and restrictor. This way any oil would be collected and observed, but would retain some PVC benefit - just not too much. Thinking...thinking..
