[urq] Hood Pins

Vittorio,

The hood pins are needed on the carbon fiber hood.  This hood has no provision for the
secondary safety catch and therefore should the latches fail for any reason, there needs
to be a means to keep the hood secured.  

I'm still weighing the options.  The Aero style are nice, but require a lot of material
to be cut out for installation.  I'm leaning toward the locking kind that look like they
only need a single hole to be drilled:

I welcome any feedback on use or installation especially BTDT on any of these options.

Is this for security reasons (stealing) or aesthetics? I know I've seen
locking hood pins in Jegs, and other stealth versions don't remember
where...but never used any of them.

One item that might be useful to you, is that while working with a
friend of mine on some CF project, he indicated that CF+Metal=corrosion
- generally recommended some plastic or rubber barrier between them.

protrude much and is inconspicuous as well as minimal mod to the hood -

hole, but will consider alternatives.  I see 034EFI has some, but did
not see any
examples of them installed.
