[urq] ATF fluid in the reservoir : What to do?Eric Renneisen racingiron at comcast.netTue Feb 26 18:48:45 PST 2008
Oh yeah, I forgot that the power steering-only type 85 cars had that little plastic bottle. -----Original Message----- From: Louis-Alain Richard [mailto:larichard at plguide.com] Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2008 9:34 PM To: 'Eric Renneisen'; 'Louis-Alain Richard' Cc: Urq at audifans.com; shr42 at msn.com Subject: RE: [urq] ATF fluid in the reservoir : What to do? Thanks Eric R, Thinking of it, I may confuse Eric L. 1985 urQ and the 1986 Coupe GT that I dismantled right after repairing his car. I remember ordering the filter for the hydraulic system and the ETKA listing was erroneous. I ended buying the little cartridge identical to my UrQ's. So all urQ have the metal reservoir, and all uses the red ATF fluid. Stephen, looks you won't have to sue anybody now... The 1983 uses a steel container, > 1984 and up uses a yellow plastic container > with a black cap. All original N. Am. urqs I've seen have the same metal reservoir. Both my '85 and '86 have it. I think I've seen the plastic one you describe on the type 44, maybe? Eric R. '86 urq '92 urS '93 urS
