[urq] fuel tank hoseBen Swann benswann at verizon.netMon Jul 14 19:20:20 PDT 2008
You definitely won't be doing this with a full tank of gas. Best bet would be to pull the tank and install them on the tank and feed them down. I've been able to drain into four 5 gallon tanks in order to work on the lines - just make sure you have room to manipulate the tanks from underneath the car - can be tricky. Unfortunately for me the hose went bad right after I filled up with the "new" gas ... and it was a real PITA to crawl under the car and replace the hose ... If you only have a small amount of gas in the tank you can plan to drain the tank before fully removing the hose ... Can I just remove the grommet where the two hoses go through the floor to the tank? I see from the FA that they both are attached by hose clamps and nipples. Thanks! Gary
