be a MUCH prettier drive than 80 through Wyoming could ever hope to be. =20 Plus, I have no idea what time you'll be rolling through, but you could certainly stop for lunch and we could get the party started a little early! A "Certain Somebody" and I are both REALLY close to that area every day.=20 =20 ...as for a "Certain Pearl car"......I saw it the other day and a "Certain somebody" would deserve a cape of some sort because they would need to be superhuman to get it running and drivable in the next 10 days! =20 Ben -----Original Message-----=20 From: Michael Hopton=20 Sent: Jul 31, 2008 8:38 AM=20 To: urq at audifans.com=20 Subject: [urq] UPG 25 Road Trip=20 As usual the bandwidth on this list is a bit over whelming, I guess I will need=20 to check my spam filter again... Anyway I thought I would add my 2 cents with=20 respect to the forth coming activities next week in CO. So.... I guess if I can get all the stuff done on the car, or at least the top ten critical issues, like non functional window, blower motors, brake pads etc I should be heading off to Glenwood Springs (thanks Brandon) this sort of time next week. I think my son Matthew is signed up for the trip, I keep trying to explain the concept of 24 hours driving, stay for a bit, and then 24 hours driving=20 back, he just nods and looks at me like I am speaking another language. Ah the joys of a thirteen year old. I might hook up with Nathan E. in Chicago on the way but it sounds like he has a few "issues" and I might leave a bit earlier and try for a more "relaxed" drive out there. As traveling back with Pajak promises to be anything but relaxing... Mapquest says take Hwy 80 West for ~800 miles with a wee stretch on Hwy 280. It looks fairly direct, any comments on the pros and cons?=20 I would be interested in hearing from the brave folks on the East coast that are heading over. It seems like most of the owners here in Canada are a=20 bunch of Jessie's and "aren't able to make it". Intelligence reports seem to suggest that a certain pearl white owner may be doing a bit of work on his car and it would be great to see that one in the=20 flesh. For those on the fence - get off!, and make all the effort folks have=20 put in organizing this worth-while. It would be great if their hard work is=20 rewarded with a huge turn out. Cheers, Mike Hopton=20 - Made up my mind to make a new start, Going to Colorado with an aching in my heart _______________________________________________ Audifans urq mailing list Send posts to: mailto:urq at audifans.com Manage your list connection: http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/urq North American Celebration of the 25th Anniversary for the urquattro: http://www.urq25.com/ Pictures/Polls/Database at: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/urquattro/ You can help keep the audifans site running by shopping at http://audifans.com/shop/
