Nope, can't be the Gilroy car.

My wife and I purchased CA-900056 from John in November of 2003 and it 
was still in the garage when I headed out the door to work this morning.

Haven't run across the one mentioned before in the handful of urq's that 
I do know of in the area -- another silver '82 though makes me wonder if 
all of the C-reg's brought in as dealer demos were the same color!
