The linkage, and the location of the linkage is also very different. You will need to cut the tunnel to place the shifter mechanism in the proper orientation. -----Original Message----- From: Thatcher Hubbard <thatcher.hubbard at gmail.com> To: Jack Walker <jack at walkerperformancegroup.com> Cc: urq at audifans.com Sent: Fri, 30 May 2008 4:04 pm Subject: Re: [urq] 6 Speed Transmissions I think that 2Bennett did a conversion with a six-speed 01E that I read about. IIRC, it wasn't bolt-on though, I think the 01E is longer than the 016 and it requires a shortened driveshaft. I can't remember if the mounts required any modification or not. http://www.elektro.com/~audi/01E/ 2008/5/29 Jack Walker <jack at walkerperformancegroup.com>: > I'm just beginning to research this. > > Which 6 speed transmissions work, with what axels, differentials, and what > in UrQs > > > > My car is a stock 83 drive train, and almost with an AAN in it > > As soon as I get a hydraulic pump mounted that will work with the Coupe > Quattro rack….but that's another story. > > > > Jack Walker > > > > > > > No virus found in this outgoing message. > Checked by AVG. > Version: 7.5.524 / Virus Database: 269.24.3/1472 - Release Date: 5/29/2008 > 7:27 AM > > _______________________________________________ > Audifans urq mailing list > Send posts to: mailto:urq at audifans.com > Manage your list connection: http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/urq > > North American Celebration of the 25th Anniversary for the urquattro: > http://www.urq25.com/ > > Pictures/Polls/Database at: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/urquattro/ > > You can help keep the audifans site running by shopping at > http://audifans.com/shop/ _______________________________________________ Audifans urq mailing list Send posts to: mailto:urq at audifans.com Manage your list connection: http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/urq North American Celebration of the 25th Anniversary for the urquattro: http://www.urq25.com/ Pictures/Polls/Database at: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/urquattro/ You can help keep the audifans site running by shopping at http://audifans.com/shop/
