For what it's worth, most/all of the decisions about what to sell in the U.S. market are made by AoA Product Planning. Might need more 'car guys' in that department! John ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ben Howell" <bhowell at rmi.net> I would suggest that they are making a product that the customer is buying. Just like all these people bad mouthing GM for making vehicles that aren’t fuel efficient, they were only making a product that the people we demanding and buying. With that said, I think it’s sad that they have stopped giving the US buyer the option of a clutch pedal. Just like the TDI options across the model ranges in Europe, you KNOW they are making it, but they just aren’t bringing it over. I guess we will have to wait for the S4 to get the clutch pedal…..but then there won’t be an Avant version anymore either. *sigh* Ben -----Original Message----- >From: Andrew <afinn1 at gmail.com> > >So is it true that you can no longer get an A4 with a manual transmission in the US? >Looks like my 2004 Ultrasport avant is going to have to last me a long time.....until >they import an A6 with the 2.0L and a 6-spd......or when pigs fly, whichever comes first. > >Andrew
