I have nice drawings of the 3 different switch configs if anyone wants to post them...i thought I put them to someone b4 but I forgot, maybe martins site. I forgot who did them, they are colored like the factory hoses etc. -----Original Message----- From: urq [mailto:urq at pacbell.net] Sent: Monday, November 24, 2008 10:20 PM To: urq at audifans.com Subject: Re: [urq] Vacuum supply The ECU and boost gauge need actual manifold pressure with as little delay as possible. The diff locks on the other hand are looking to use vacuum as a power source ... and so are connected to a reservoir. Sorry for the long answer to your question, but I thought I'd explain why the answer to your question is no. ISTR the vacuum source for the diff locks on my '83 comes up from under the carpet on the transmission tunnel. On my car there is a vacuum operated recirculation valve for when the AC is on ... if your car is similar you can tee your supply line in there. Does the diff lock switch use the factory boost gauge hose for its vacuum source? _______________________________________________ Audifans urq mailing list Send posts to: mailto:urq at audifans.com Manage your list connection: http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/urq North American Celebration of the 25th Anniversary for the urquattro: http://www.urq25.com/ Pictures/Polls/Database at: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/urquattro/ You can help keep the audifans site running by shopping at http://audifans.com/shop/ ______________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned by a Managed Email Content Service. ____________________________________________________________________ For your protection, this e-mail has been scanned for viruses by a Managed Email Content Service.
