[urq] RE : engine mounts wahers and spacers

Hi Pat, did you get to rebuilt the engine yet ? I guess so as you are
installing it in the car...

As for the engine mounts, are the old one solid rubber or liquid filled ?

Anyway, I had to fight with the engine mounts studs as they spun into the
body bracket, but upon removal the sleeves were weld to the body bracket and
stayed there when I punched the studs remnants. My guess is they must be
there to sit the mounts properly, without contact between the mount and the
body bracket. There is some space between the mounts and the brackets.

AS for the top spacers, I compared heights for each mount type, I still have
a solid rubber mount somewhere, and adjusted the total height of both mounts
to be equal (obviously) with some spacers : on the turbo side, there is only
the rubber umbrella, and one spacer on the driver side. That is with 2
hydraulic mounts as they are a bit higher than the solid ones.

This way the engine is off the subframe, but not by much, less than 
12 mm from what I can see. The umbrella (and spacer) is about 10 mm thick at
the center aluminum section, but it has a square indent in it to prevent
spinning, so total height is more like 6 mm once installed on top of a
mount.

Send me your pics, I'll take a look at them. Or better, post them somewhere
so everyone can comment.
