[urq] urq wastegate supports on tranny, evil audi joke?

... check your engine mounts ... sounds like the oil pan may be resting on
the subframe.  Yes, the center carrier bearing is supposed to be mounted in
a rubber ring, but I don't know that using bolts to secure the thing would
cause the noise ... in fact Javad whipped up some Delrin replacement
bushings one time ... 

I've heard that the support is intended to reduce the stress on the exhaust
system ... of course bad motor mounts will contribute to the same.  I don't
recall having a real big problem getting the bracket off and on again, but
then if I can't get a wrench on something I usually will buy something that
will work ... 

Yes, wiring is one weak point ... for some reason PO's seem to like to
dabble in "improvements" as well ... of course it doesn't help that Audi got
confused a bit themselves on which wiring diagram goes with which model ...
you'll probably need to check per your VIN to find the right one ...

At low rpm it seemed smooth, maybe around 4000 up it would come, I never had
a solid lifter engine tho so maybe like you say it's normal. Does the center
propshaft bearing usually have rubber spacers?
It had two nuts put there as spacers so maybe that would be the source.
I also noticed that the ecu's plastic filter / buffer, was cracked and
venting so maybe the timing was off or running lean under slight boost too.
I just hope no one ran the car that way... 

I'm also still battling the evil mouse smell. They were everywhere.
