[urq] vacuum brake booster conversioncraigcook at rogers.com craigcook at rogers.comMon Apr 6 05:16:21 PDT 2009
Mike, I just did this swap on my 84 urq. I used the booster and master cylinder from a Audi 90.It has 4 ports, one of them has been blocked off. I wanted a newer rust free booster. Anything up here in Canada is usually rusted out. I also used a Wilwood proportioning valve for pressure control for the rear. You can see a pic here. http://www.motorgeek.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12422&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=150 It's not very clear, however I can take a better pic if you want. Cheers, Craig. ________________________________ From: Mike Sylvester <mike at urq20v.com> To: urq list <urq at audifans.com> Sent: Monday, April 6, 2009 7:14:13 AM Subject: [urq] vacuum brake booster conversion For those who have converted to vacuum assisted brakes, what master cylinder did you use? Does the stock urq master cylinder mate to the vacuum booster properly?
