[urq] Hood StatusJack Walker jack at walkerperformancegroup.comWed Feb 18 15:15:26 PST 2009
Hi Guys, I have some friends that live in Bellingham, could be a perfect reason to visit them, I live in Portland.it's a drive I could take on a trip to Whistler to make some turns? I have not been involved in the GB in any way shape or form, although I would love to have a hood and would be more than happy to help out? If he's complete in the tooling as noted in the email, seeing as the GB participants should be more than vested in the final molds, perhaps simply ask him for them? And ask for a refund through the molds and get going again, hey maybe it's a long short but at this point what do ya have to loose, other than the threat of prosecution.? I know a very good aerospace composite company in Bingen, Washington, Innovative Composite Engineering, I know the owner personally (he's a certifiable motor head, multiple BMWs, R32, and at one time had a UrQ. He makes air box molds for BMW and has been working on a BMW CF helmet). Even if the ICE prices are not competitive, aerospace composite companies and composite boat building companies are all over the I-5 Corridor between Bellingham and Portland. I'd be willing to get the molds, get them to a builder and keep the project moving in exchange for the mileage and any expenses, against my hood purchase now that my UrQ is about to be on the road again??
