[urq] newer MAC-02 for WX didn't work, but I'm suspecting it was a bad unit.

Started the car and moved it out of the garage for room to open the passenger door wide.  Swapped out my MAC-02 with the yellow sticker for this ebay 035 905 383F blue sticker.  It wouldn't start.  It seemed like there was some crackling sounds.  Two quick attempts and nothing but the smell of gas.   Put my yellow MAC-02 in and thank god it started right up.   The seller did say he bought lots of urq and 4000 stuff from someone else - so it wasn't out of his running urq.

this 'F' works in the older cars and others - maybe not.

Also - with a used CPU is are there any pins whose resistance I should check to
make sure the unit won't fry something if it's a defective unit?

I flipped through ETKA and did find the ECU.   Is it there?
