Steve- 
 Two things-
 
1)The blue label one is for the 85 model year only. 
I think the yellow one will work in the earlier cars, but not vice versa.
 
2) During all of my ECU swaps, I noticed that I had to slightly turn the distributor one way or the other to get them to work. You might try that.
