[urq] Best Way to Change Fuel Pressure AccumulatorLouis-Alain Richard larichard at plguide.comFri Jun 5 08:01:17 PDT 2009
I would still pinch that hose gently, with a proper HOSE PINCH PLIER SET. http://www.wilmarcorp.com/images/specialty/multi/W84017-18.jpg I've done it so many times on so many cars without any problem... It is not a OEM approved technique, but then almost half of what I do is not either. Louis-Alain -----Message d'origine----- In the past I clamped off the main soft fuel supply line to stop the flow of fuel whenever I changed the fuel pump, the fuel filters, etc. Then people said that was not good as it might damage the fuel line. Short of draining the tank - yeah right - is there a preferred way to stop the flow of fuel while doing this operation? Do those rounded roller clamps they make for this job work better to shut off the fuel? Thanks. Andrew Finney 1985 UrQ V8.
