Andrew - what about putting some sort of plug in there instead of crimping? Yes you will lose some gas during the nasty part of getting the plug in - but less risk of damage. Short of draining the tank - yeah right - is there a preferred way to stop the flow of fuel while doing this operation? Do those rounded roller clamps they make for this job work better to shut off the fuel? Thanks.
