[urq] 2002 A4 probs

Hey guys,

I know this is our UrQ forum, but I'm waiting to join the A4 forum for 
some help I need. In order to speed things up, I'll post the probs here. 
I know some of you have an A4 too! You can't hide!

Ok the patient: The wife's 2002 A4 Avant Quattro 1.8T.

The problem(s): The pilot complained of the interior lights not turning 
off, the red LED on the door (alarm) flashing while the car is unlocked 
or driving, no power mirror function, no power window function, the 
remote will open or lock all the doors but the driver side. The single 
"chirp" for the alarm no longer sounds off.

Vag-Com: I have a fault of 01331 - Door Control Module: Driver Side 
(J386)         49-00 - No Communications.

The door control module (J386) is integrated into the window regulator 
motor and not available separately. (thanks Audi!) I confirmed power 
going to this and therefore thought I had a confirmed culprit. This part 
was almost $300. I installed the other day and I got nothing.... I hope 
I can return this!

Any BTDT with this? I can not find any info about this as far as a 
possible campaigne from Audi about a problem. One thing I did find was 
some blog with 3 people having similar or the same problems and some guy 
chimed in and said something like "ya, Audi has a problem with this, 
call your dealer" and that was the end of it.
