It's an Ur-Quattro! Price is irrelevant. ;-) 32-41-1-123-323 - $47.15 Canadian dollars 32-41-1-120-715 - $$20.40 Canadian dollars At the BMW parts counter. I just picked them up at the BMW dealer. BTW, they were ordered from Germany and I got them in Canada in less than a week. I was impressed. Kudos for BMW. It's supercedes the older number 32 41 1 120 717. Here's a screen shot of the BMW diagram showing another filter piece and a strainer: http://home.comcast.net/~racingiron/BMW/hyd_filter.jpg Eric R. I should have it in a week. I could not find the 857 422 385 filter. The parts guy at the BMW could not tell me which car the (857 422 384) BMW part number (32 41 1 123 323) came from he had no catalog display for this number so I hit a dead end. I could not tell if the Bimmer used the 2nd filter. Does anybody have an old parts catalogue for the Bimmer? From BMW number it looks like it might be for a 323. But I'm only guesing. Thanks Louis-Alain for all the info. Cheers Lino -----Original Message----- From: Andrée-Anne Bourgeois [mailto:laraa at sympatico.ca] Sent: Monday, March 09, 2009 10:47 PM To: 'Lino M. It was in the car since I bought it in 2001. Now, I dont remember if the "new" one in the car that I got from Audi is the same Mann or a genuine VAG. On the VAG box, it says 1996... Louis-Alain -----Message d'origine----- Gentlemen, It finally bit me. I replaced the bomb on the 83 Ur-Quattro, and wanted to replace the filters in the fluid tank. They are part numbers: 857 422 384 - Filter 857 422 385 - Filter element Well guess what? They are NLA at the dealer (in Canada). Does anybody know where these can be found? Third parties? I would hate to refill the system with nice synthetic Mobil ATF and leave the 25+ year old filters in there. Any ideas would be appreciated.
