I have not built a coolant pressure tester, but I did build a pressure
brake bleeder from a garden sprayer. I'd think you could do the same
for a coolant pressure tester. You can get everything you need
including the pressure gauge from your local garden/hardware center.

I seem to recall using 1/4" ID tubing for the job. Makes it easy as
hose adaptors are readily available.

If you need it, I can send you some pictures tonight.

Any of you guys ever build a coolant pressure tester ? it can't be that bad, especially since I have a spare reservoir cap. I figure i just put a robust fitting in the cap, hook up a hose with a pressure guage on it and inflate to about 15lbs or so. Anyone know if this is doable? I figure my leak will show then.
