[V8] flickering lights, voltage regulator?

Hmm. I tend to think your voltage regulator is the culprit -- though not
the regulator istself, but the brush pack part of it. One of the brushes
may be sticking. You can pick up a replacement regulator/brush pack from
Napa or similar. Aftermarket ones are also available -- though they are not
(IMO) up to the quality of the Bosch units --especially as pertains to the
brush pack part.
