You must be confusing me with some other Audi nut. :) We bought it new from Rector Porsche Audi in Burlingame, CA, in 1990, but it had about 4k on the odometer because the general manager was using it as a personal car.
Being one of the earliest buyers of the V8, we were the first to learn (the hard way) that the timing belt has to be changed before it hits 70k. Was one of the most frustrating cars to own until I discovered this forum, and all the secrets of this car were laid bare.
Was surfing the net the other day and saw your website...always love that picture of yours with the speedometer pegging towards 150... .
