[Vwdiesel] 81 jetta smoking woes

385 is good compression.  At least good enough.  My guess is that
your injectors are worn.  How many miles?  Have you ever had them
tested for spray pattern or leakage?  What's the performance of the
car (assuming you have experience with other similar cars)?
