[Vwdiesel] Oil recommendations?

With and engine as old as that, I'd stay away from 5w30's. Definitely go
with 10w40 or higher. My 95 TD is running 5w40 PC Duron synthetic.
Excellent oil for the price. I'll add just under a quart a month ( I do a
lot of highway ) so I don't mind using a good oil. ( engine was previously
fed with Rotella ).
