My first guess would be bad fuel. 5 years in the tank? Put one of those
clear cheapee plastic filters in front of the main filter and see what
you catch!

I agree with Loren. Double check your injector timing. Triple check the
cold start knob "in". I have always set my timing to the upper limit.

Short of new nozzles, take it out, get it HOT, and run the bejeebees out
of it. Seriously. Perhaps the injectors are somewhat varnished and need
to run through. 

If things don't improve after a while, new nozzles would be my next item
to replace. Just a few days ago there was a thread on where to find the
cheapest nozzles.

When was the last time valve lash was checked?
