[Vwdiesel] Popping when I turn, not CV, so ???

I looked at it today.  Thanks to the idiot mechanic who put my bolts on with
an impact, I cant get the tire off !!  Oh well, Dad can help there.  Anyway,
I could find no problems ( nothing with the strut either ).  When up in the
air, no popping could be heard.  I am thinking either its the ball joint or
tie rod end.
