Val, I have no idea what my 97 golf's suspension is set to, but there is
more to ice driving than suspension.  Tires.
I run Blizzaks in winter, you might consider a set.  I'm not kidding when I
say you cannot tell that you are driving on ice. Drove around a deer the
other night on the highway, made it with one hoof mark on the right rear
instead of a full frontal assault. This past few weeks, there has been
nothing but ice.
