[Vwdiesel] Turbo discussions -- ( maybe I will do the Turbo this year )

Newbie Ferguson asked. :     ( I am all ears )


 Any one ever heard of polishing the 
compressor blades in the turbo?  I know that can make a BIG efficiency difference  
in jet engines.  

My gut feeling is that it makes an even greater difference here. So far no answer.
I am more interested in cleaning the turbine side. One of our members showed 
how much was taken out of his turbo.They do coke up and mine has not been
touched since 1984. 

Question :    Any simple way to identify what make Turbo I have ???.
