[Vwdiesel] Fw: [EuroDieselCars] Quantum Transmissiongary gbangs at cfl.rr.comThu Mar 18 10:18:47 EST 2004
This transmission from a Quantum TD , type 013-5M,or 9Q, is in itself a pretty rare find. But any four cyl Audi of the same era will have the same trans but with a different 5th gear ratio. I was going to put an Audi 013-2N in my Quantum TD before I sold the car. Instead of the 0.730 5th gear, the 2N had a 0.684. A few less RPM at freeway speeds. My understanding when I was in the know, is that the VW Fox guys wanted this transmission to upgrade their factory four speeds, or to replace their broken, inferior, five speeds. Hack away! -Gary On Thu, 2004-03-18 at 06:50, Scott Kair wrote: > From the wart list.
