[Vwdiesel] Golf eating rear wheel bearings.

Strikes a nerve with me .

Be careful ---VW's rear wheel will self destruct from a bearing failure.  My 1982 Rabbit 1.6L NA
did just that .   The casting is very thin .   I lost the Brake-drum ---Axle ---and some of the
brake parts.

Put the  wheel on and spin it while you tighten nut as much as you can with fingers.

For a first tightening I use a Visegrip ,  to put a bit of preload on. Works for me.
